Once after jumping on a bus at Melrose and La Brea, the driver came over the microphone and announced:"For those of you who are going to call into the Metro hotline today because the 7:48 (a.m.) bus never showed up, I will save you a phone call by letting you know that the bus broke down. After all you are riding the MTA and it is all about the way you look at it MTA... Metro Transit Authority..... MTA .... May Take Awhile. Think about it and have a great day."
The best way to cope with public transportation in this town is to be zen about the whole experience, the more you care about where you are going, the less cooperative the buses will be, always plan to make it to your destination 30 minutes before you need to be there and NEVER, NEVER take the 10 if you have to be somewhere at a specific time.
The best way to comment on the Public Transit system is to ride it and let you know what happens.
